Staying Connected: New Features to Follow Every Step of the Journey
Prison Professors rolls out significant platform improvements. New features allow supporters to follow profiles and receive custom notifications on journal entries, release plans, and more. Our redesigned website ensures easier navigation to educational resources, empowering justice-impacted individuals on their path forward.

At Prison Professors, we believe that connection is part of the path forward. The past month has brought significant improvements to the platform — tools designed to strengthen the bond between justice-impacted individuals and the people who support them.
Follow Someone's Profile — and Get Notified When They Publish
Families, friends, and supporters can now follow any Prison Professors profile directly from that profile page. When someone you care about publishes a new journal entry, biography, book report, or release plan, you'll receive an email notification the moment it goes live.
You choose how you want to hear from them: immediate updates as they publish, a Sunday digest summarizing the week, or a monthly recap. You can even narrow notifications to the content types that matter most to you — journals only, release plans only, or everything.
A Website That's Easier to Navigate
We redesigned the top navigation to put the most important resources within one or two clicks. Books, podcasts, AMA sessions, lessons, and masterclasses now each have a single, logical home. Whether you're incarcerated, recently released, or supporting someone who is, you should be able to find what you need without getting lost.
Built for the Long Haul
Behind the scenes, the platform continues to get faster and more reliable — including real-time profile updates, improved search performance, and stronger infrastructure to support a growing community.
Every improvement is in service of the mission: to help justice-impacted individuals demonstrate their growth, access resources, and build the evidence they need to chart a new course.
