Prison Professors

December 27, 2025

December 27, 2025: Saturday

This morning I’m continuing to work through each page of the website. Our website will provide free resources that serve different audiences, including:

  1. People who are facing challenges, at any stage, with the criminal justice system.
  2. People who want to support family members in the system.
  3. People who represent those who are going into the system.
  4. People who work in the system.

Steve and I are striving to engineer this website so that it is useful, easy to navigate, so that people can find the resources they want as quickly as possible. We also want it to be interactive, so that if people have questions, or want resources, we can provide them easily.

I’m enthusiastic about building the platform, so that more people can document the steps they’re taking to prove worthy of higher levels of liberty, at the soonest possible time. This morning I saw that 5,067 people have opened profiles. We need those people to become more active, showing every step they’re taking to prove worthy of consideration. The data we collect on adjustment patterns will advance our efforts to:

  • Persuade leaders in the BOP to create pathways for people to earn the highest level of liberty, at the soonest possible time, based on a merit and efforts to reconcile.
  • Persuade leaders at Federal Probation to open pathways to grant early termination of Supervised Release.
  • Provide the US Pardon Czar with insight into who is working the hardest to earn freedom.
  • Provide employers with insight into a person’s self-directed pathway to prepare for success.

All these efforts, we believe, will improve outcomes of our nation’s prison system. We want to encourage people who go inside to understand their role in building pathways to earn freedom. Each person should become a Prison Professor, using our platform to show the steps they’ve taken to build a pathway to success.
