The Profiles section of PrisonProfessors.org empowers individuals to document their journey, show progress, and become strong candidates for early release, home confinement, or work release.
This tutorial gives you a step-by-step guide to get started with Prison Professors Profiles—and explains why it matters.

Building a profile helps you:

- Show stakeholders—judges, BOP staff, or policy influencers—that you're preparing for success
- Advance your candidacy for administrative relief, Earned Time Credits, and other pathways to liberty
- Create a body of work that reflects your commitment to merit-based progress

🖥️ Step-by-Step: How to Start Your Profile
- Visit https://prisonprofessors.org
- Click the “Profiles” button at the top-right corner of the homepage
📍 (Tip: It’s a purple button with an orange shadow) - Choose your role:
- If you're home and online, click "Build a Profile"
- If you're inside prison, assign a trusted family member or friend as your Profile Partner
- If you're home and online, click "Build a Profile"
- Follow the prompts to create your account
- You’ll receive a User ID and Password
- Your partner can use this to manage your page if you're inside
- You’ll receive a User ID and Password
- Begin exploring the profile sections:

- Journal
- Book Reports
- Release Plan

👥 Two Ways to Build
- Do it yourself if you're on the outside
- Assign a partner (friend, spouse, parent, mentor) if you're incarcerated
