Profiles Built by Students
We can't control who chooses to do the work—but we can create the tools, tell the stories, and lead by example. This metric tracks how many individuals have built a personal profile on Prison Professors Profiles—documenting how they're using their time in prison to grow, reflect, and prepare for success. Many people inside live without hope or direction. Our mission is to reach, teach, and inspire them to take action—and show why they are worthy candidates for opportunity, trust, and liberty through merit. We're working toward 10,000 profiles. We know that reaching that goal means overcoming real obstacles, including a slow-moving bureaucracy. But with the data we collect in the years ahead, we'll be able to demonstrate how self-directed programs improve outcomes—and make the case for policies that reward personal growth and allow more people to earn freedom through merit.

By tracking the number of profiles built, we measure our reach and impact—understanding how many people we're helping to prepare for success. Our goal of 10,000 profiles is ambitious, but achievable with sustained effort and growing awareness. Each profile is a testament to the power of self-directed learning and personal accountability.
